How can online resources help with student autonomy?
Julie and Michelle of the WQSB wanted to create opportunities for their students to become more autonomous learners in their French Second Language classes. They began by developing online resources and then realized that they were on to so much more:
- They are better able to address different learner needs by providing different kinds of resources that learners can access when and how they like
- They discovered the necessity of teacher modeling so that students would actually use the resources!
- They discovered that the learning process is always a work in progress
